Gingerich Farms is a part of George Packing Co., Hazelnut Growers of Oregon, and Northwest Hazelnut’s receiving station network.  Our first washing and drying system began production in 1987 and in 2022 we updated our facilities by putting in a new Weisner hazelnut wash line, which can run up to half a million pounds per day.  To be able to match those speeds, we also built two additional dryers, bringing the total to seven.  Hazelnuts are a growing commodity in Oregon and we are in a great position to receive and wash additional pounds.  We pride ourselves on minimal wait times and provide drinks and snacks for busy growers who can’t stop.  If you are seeking a hazelnut receiving station, consider giving us a try.

Gingerich Farms Products, Inc. built a brand-new blueberry packing facility in 2008. We’re proud of its environmentally-friendly design that includes preheating wash water with waste heat, using natural lighting for workspace illumination, and extra insulation for decreased power usage.  We also conduct daily washdowns and regular environmental testing to ensure a controlled environment that is ideal for fruit packing.

Our on-farm blueberry acreage has decreased over time, but our fresh blueberry packing production has grown to approximately 5 to 6 million pounds each summer.  Gingerich Farms Products, Inc. no longer markets any blueberry products and has instead become an organic and conventional fresh blueberry co-packer.  We have developed relationships with marketers who are themselves growers and share our belief that farmers are as much our customers as the people buying the fruit.
