Since 1919 . . . Many things have changed about our farm, but one hasn't. The name of the Boss. A Gingerich has run the day to day farm operations since the beginning. Another thing that hasn't changed is the dedication to growing & producing the best product possible.
We've always been farmer's first. Our devotion to our land, our crops, our employees, our families, our community and to our customers comes from that “Farmer's Mentality”.
Currently we're growing Blueberries, Hazelnuts and Grass Seed. We pack and sell our blueberries as Fresh, Frozen and Dehydrated. We clean and dry our hazelnuts as well as surrounding growers for a local Processor. We harvest our grass seed and sell to different seed companies, local and International.
Gingerich Farms has also started working in the realms of Organic and Sustainable Farming. We're trying to increase the health of our plants and land as well as the local ecosystem. In one sense, these forms of farming take us closer to where it all started, while at the same time taking us a step forward.
